MONROE® ORIGINAL SHOCK ABSORBERS
Sometimes the name says it all. Monroe Original shock absorbers feature the same technologies – and are often manufactured in the same facilities – as the original equipment (OE) shocks found on millions of popular passenger vehicles across all segments.
Your Car Can Feel Like New Again
Monroe Original shock absorbers are engineered to compensate for the normal wear that has occurred on a vehicle’s springs and other suspension components. This means that by choosing Monroe Original over many competing shocks, you will be more likely to appreciate the benefits of your ride control investment – and enjoy like-new ride and handling.
Reliability & Value
Because Monroe Original shocks have an extensive OE pedigree, you can be confident they will offer consistent, reliable performance and outstanding value. After all, that’s why leading global vehicle manufacturers choose Monroe shock absorbers.
It's a Match
Designing replacement shock absorbers is much like developing corrective lenses for your eyes – each vehicle is different. This is why every Monroe Original shock is engineered to address the corresponding vehicle model’s unique ride and handling requirements. If the car was originally equipped with gas-charged twin-tube shocks, the Monroe Original units will feature the same technology. Monotube shocks? If they were the OE choice, they will be available through the Monroe Original range.
Built-in Advantage
Monroe engineers update product damping specifications based on the actual performance and wear patterns seen in many original equipment shock absorbers. By improving overall damping characteristics, therefore, Monroe Original shocks can help make the car feel like new again.
Always Replace in Pairs
Always install new shocks in pairs on the front and/or rear of the vehicle to avoid unwanted ride and handling problems. Also be sure to install a new Monroe Mounting Kit (when applicable) and Monroe Protection Kit with each new shock to help ensure long, reliable service.
Quick-Look Benefits

MONROE® GAS-MAGNUM SHOCK ABSORBERS
The Monroe Gas-Magnum shock absorber is especially designed in Africa for African conditions. With up to twice the fluid capacity of standard 1-in. bore shocks, Gas-Magnum shocks work more efficiently with less effort.
Off-Road Tough
There are no boundaries to adventure off-road with Monroe Gas-Magnum shock absorbers. These shocks are specifically designed and built for African road conditions to enhance the versatility and performance of 4x4 vehicles driven off-road.
Vehicle Specific Design
Off-road vehicles offer a very special driving experience. It's all about performance, whatever the terrain. The 4x4 breaks through the limits for people that want more from their vehicles. And shocks play a key role in the performance of those vehicles. But under rough conditions the oil in ordinary hydraulic shock absorbers overheats, making it less viscous and thereby cutting performance. Therefore, Monroe developed the Monroe Gas-Magnum shock absorbers. These shock absorbers feature a twin tube for increased stone damage protection, a heavy duty bore size and piston rod, as well as a multi-valve 2-way compression and rebound setting for improved control and comfort.
Better Performance
Bigger than conventional shock absorbers, the Monroe Gas-Magnum shock absorber its added surface area and extra oil capacity dissipate heat even quicker. But that's not all. By injecting gas into the shock absorber, Monroe cuts out the risk of the oil foaming under tough driving conditions. That means better performance, more control and less bumps for your passengers.
3 Year Warranty
Another key advantage from Monroe: No matter how much punishment you dish out, your Monroe Gas-Magnum shocks will be protected by our 3-year, unlimited kilometers, warranty.
Always Replace in Pairs
New shocks should always be replaced in pairs on the front and/or rear of a vehicle to avoid unwanted ride and handling problems. In addition, always install a new Monroe Mounting Kit (when applicable) and Monroe Protection Kit with each new shock to help prevent damage and promote longer unit life.
